Return - FSC® Conditioners 2016 – 2021
Maxitree Gestão e Negócios Florestais was contracted to execute the "FSC® Conditions 2016-2021" project. The project involves analyzing the conditions established by the FSC® IC for Brazilian forestry companies holding the FSC® certificate and requesting derogation for the use of three active ingredients used to control leaf-cutting ants. The project includes the creation of a focused action plan to guide companies in meeting the conditions. Following the publication of the action plan, Maxitree will support member companies and project participants in meeting the conditions, as well as monitoring the implementation and conduct of field experiments. The PCCF – Cooperative Program on Forest Certification is a cooperative program linked to the IPEF (National Institute of Forestry and Forestry Enforcement) and stands out as one of the main forestry coordination forums aimed at improving certification systems worldwide, as well as the continuous improvement of forest management. It currently has 38 member forestry companies.
Perfil
IPEF (Institute of Forestry Research and Studies), established in 1968, is a non-profit association whose objective is to plan, implement, and coordinate actions and manage resources for studies, analyses, and research in the field of natural resources, with an emphasis on forestry science. It stands out as one of Brazil's leading forestry research institutes. The work developed by IPEF is a benchmark not only for Brazilian companies but also for research institutes, universities, and businesses worldwide.
"This is certainly a challenging project. Supporting the PCCF in building understandings that can help more than 40 companies participating in the project meet the FSC® 2016-2021 conditions requires a special commitment from the entire Maxitree team and associates."
